day two of training for new position. so far, i have sat at an empty desk and perused the internet til i thought my eyeballs would fall out, eaten some candy bars and yogurt, drank lots of water, took some trips to the bathroom to pee and then make funny faces in the mirror... pretty much anything but learn my new position!

i know the lady "training" me is busy but sheeeesh!

It's the Wednesday Quiz!

So, presumably, you had to move physically to reach your new empty desk and your new position? But where did you move? Are you down the corridor? Across the hall? In another building?

And, are you surrounded by less neurotic people? How did your former colleagues react to your departure?

oooh i hope i ace it!

i actually had to move buildings and this one is techincally in another city! i moved from our lake oswego building to our beaverton building- but, only until i'm trained and then it's back to lake oswego but then once the beaverton building is done being remodeled i'll move back here. and that's after already having started out in lake oswego, being moved to beaverton and back to lake oswego again! pheww!

so right now, i'm sitting at an empty desk with all my worldly work possessions in a box in my car trunk. er, that's 'boot' to you.

the people here are just as neurotic as the last lot but they are much quieter and work a bit harder which is definitely a plus. and i was quite surprised by the show of dismay at my leaving my old department- mostly from the people that submitted work to us. they were all upset cos i get the work done fastest and with the least amount of errors. haha! as for my immediate co-workers, it was just the new people that asked me questions all day that showed signs of sadness, everyone else pretty much ignored me and that was just fine with me. i hate having to act nice to people i couldn't give a rat's patootey about, you know?
